Service or technology in this application

This is a specialist dermatology service delivered offline using asynchronous store and forward technology. The patient is referred to a specialist dermatologist by a general practitioner, nurse practitioner or aboriginal health worker (the referrer). The referrer provides the specialist dermatologist a medical history, an outline of the current skin problem and photos by a secure web application. The specialist dermatologist reviews the information and, where necessary, requests additional information or photos. The dermatologist then provides a diagnosis and treatment plan to the referrer following a review of the documentation provided.

Type: Therapeutic
