Dr Walid Jammal (MB BS (Syd), Dip Child Health, FRACGP) is the principal GP in a well established general practice in suburban Sydney, where he supervisors GP registrars and medical students. His special interests include paediatrics , men’s health, medico-legal matters and quality and safety control in general practice. He has participated on Advisory Panels for some past MSAC evaluations, as well as review committees for Therapeutic Guidelines. He has experience acting as an independent GP expert in civil and disciplinary matters, as well as a delegate on Professional Services Committees and Medical Tribunals in his role with the NSW Medical Council. He is also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney School of Medicine. He is also completing his Masters of Health Law at the University of Sydney.
