Document standards for applications

Make sure your application documents meet our standards before you lodge them.

Full access to documents

Our secretariat needs full access to the information in your documents and files:

  • Do not password protect any files.
  • Ensure it is possible to copy content.
  • Ensure it is possible to change spreadsheet cells or input variables in statistical or decision analyses.

Our secretariat will work with you to ensure the relevant health technology assessment (HTA) group can evaluate your assessment report.

The HTA group will let our secretariat know if they cannot complete an evaluation because they cannot access or use the software. This will affect the progress of your application through the MSAC process.

Format and file types

Documents must be compatible with either:

  • Microsoft Word 2016 or later versions
  • TreeAge Pro suite
  • Excel 2010 or later versions, including @RISK.

Cost information

Cost information must be presented in Australian dollars. Clearly note if any part of the costings is subject to GST.

Language

All documents must be in English.
