What happens in meetings
At ESC meetings, for each application on the agenda, members review:
- the clinical evidence and economic and financial evaluations in the assessment report
- the commentary or rejoinder (if applicable)
- the applicant’s comments
- consultation input.
These meetings occur in the ESC consideration stage of the MSAC process.
After the meeting, ESC provides a written report to us. This report advises on the quality, validity, and relevance of the assessment. It also notes any issues we should consider, such as weak evidence.
Key dates for applicants
Applicants must complete a range of steps before we can consider an application at a meeting. View these steps in the key dates for applicants.
