What happens in meetings
At MSAC meetings, we appraise each application on the agenda. This includes:
- the ratified PICO (population, intervention, comparator, outcome) confirmation
- the assessment report and commentary or rejoinder (if applicable)
- PASC and ESC advice
- consultation input
- the applicant’s comments
- other relevant information.
MSAC meetings may include a hearing if an application meets the criteria for hearings.
These meetings occur in the MSAC consideration stage of the MSAC process.
We aim to finalise the public summary document for publishing within 8 to 10 weeks of the meeting. This document explains our advice (the outcome of our appraisal) and will be published on the relevant application page.
