Transparency of processes
We aim to be as transparent as possible about how we develop advice about public funding.
To help us do this, our secretariat publishes information about our processes on this website. This includes:
- a summary of the MSAC process
- our approach to consultation
- the MSAC guidelines
- guidance for applicants
- our and our subcommittees' terms of reference, members and meeting agendas
- document templates for PICO confirmations, assessment reports and commentaries
- contact details for any questions you may have
- details about how to subscribe to our email bulletins to stay informed.
Transparency of applications
For each application in the MSAC process, the department publishes an application page and adds the following as it goes through the different stages:
- completed application form
- committee meeting dates for when the application will be considered
- PICO confirmation (if applicable) – this includes a summary of consultation input received so far
- deadlines for providing consultation input
- public summary document – this includes a summary of the consultation input.
Our secretariat removes personal or in-confidence information from these documents before publishing.
