What you need to know
You can lodge an ADAR after the pre-assessment phase if:
- your application was found suitable for the MSAC process
- you have a ratified PICO confirmation (if your application is on the standard pathway)
- you have notified your intent to lodge for your preferred meeting.
There is no penalty if you fail to lodge by the relevant deadline. If you decide to lodge your ADAR for a later meeting, remember to notify your intent again.
Lodging an ADAR starts the assessment phase of the MSAC process for your application.
-
If your application is Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) codependent, indicate this when you lodge your ADAR. This ensures our secretariat will liaise with the PBAC secretariat. This applies to both streamlined and integrated codependent applications.
For streamlined applications, lodge your ADAR and PBAC submission at the same time, unless our secretariat has given other advice.
What you need to do
Lodge your ADAR in the Health Products Portal. Make sure you include all attachments and supporting documents. For guidance, see how to upload attachments.
Note that if you need to upload xlsm or xlsb files to the Health Products Portal:
- create a zip file
- upload them as large files.
To confirm the lodgement deadline, go to key dates for applicants and refer to the relevant ESC or MSAC meeting date.
Next steps
The next step is to develop a commentary (or overview paper) – an independent critical review of your ADAR.
Also, for applications on the expedited or direct pathway, our secretariat will publish:
- your application page
- the meeting agenda for your chosen ESC meeting (expedited) or MSAC meeting (direct).
This will start consultation on your application.
