Respond to PICO confirmation

In this step, you review the draft PICO confirmation before the PICO Advisory Subcommittee (PASC) considers your application. This step is for applications on the standard pathway.

This is your pre-PASC response. PASC will consider your response, the PICO confirmation and consultation input.

What you need to do

1. Access the documents

In the Health Products Portal, you will receive from our secretariat:

  • the draft PICO confirmation
  • a summary of consultation input from individuals
  • a copy of consultation input from organisations.

See key dates for applicants for the date you can expect to receive the documents. It will be about 3 weeks before the meeting where PASC will consider your application.

2. Review the documents

You will receive instructions on how to provide comments on the documents. You can:

  • clarify information as needed
  • note anything you do not agree with and why
  • correct any errors or inaccuracies
  • highlight any relevant consultation input
  • make other comments as needed.

3. Provide your response

Send your response to our secretariat through the Health Products Portal by the due date. To find out how to do this, see uploading your pre-PASC response.

Next steps

Our secretariat will provide the following to PASC members:

  • the draft PICO confirmation
  • any consultation input received by the PASC deadline
  • your pre-PASC response.

In the next step, the members will consider the PICO confirmation at a PASC meeting.
